The Global College delegation recently achieved a remarkable triumph at the MODEL UN Conference held at IE University in Madrid, a prestigious event that stands as one of the largest Model United Nations Conferences globally. Drawing participants from over 400 universities and high schools worldwide, this conference served as a platform for intellectual exchange and diplomatic simulation.
Our enthusiastic and talented students showcased their diplomatic prowess in two committees: the United Nations Environment Program, where they passionately discussed strategies for reinventing cooperation in emergency relief efforts, and UNICEF, where they dedicated their efforts to combatting child labor in the fashion industry. Their commitment to addressing critical global issues and finding innovative solutions was truly commendable.
In a shining moment for The Global College delegation, their exceptional performance was recognized with the coveted “Best High School” award, a testament to their collective dedication and outstanding representation. Moreover, individual excellence was celebrated as Juan José and Victor secured the prestigious “Best Delegate” Award, underscoring their exceptional leadership and diplomatic skills. Additionally, Sofia and Adrián earned well-deserved “Honorable Mention” accolades for their substantive contributions and articulate advocacy.
This triumph not only reflects the exemplary achievements of our students but also reinforces The Global College’s commitment to nurturing global citizens who are not only academically adept but also socially conscious and actively engaged in addressing pressing global challenges. The accolades earned at the MODEL UN Conference mark a milestone in our journey towards fostering future leaders and changemakers.
