EDUCATIONAL VISION

The future working environment will be global, digital and enterprising, with technology creating new jobs that don't exist yet. Students therefore need to be creative, resilient, entrepreneurial and open minded.

The world is exposed to strong forces of change. These changes are both challenging and an enormous source of opportunity for our society. Education needs to become the pillar to face these challenges which are altering the way we think, we live, we work and we relate to one another.

The Global College is a forward looking and innovative institution, born with the mission to provide students with an outstanding preparation to navigate a world in constant change and technological breakthroughs. Strongly influenced by IE University´s distinctive and international education, we occupy a unique position in the educational landscape.

Our College welcomes students and teachers of all nationalities and cultures. We are enriched and challenged by the diversity of views, opinions and ideas, and we value independent thinking and open discourse as a key element in our education process.

Personalized education

At The Global College, we offer a personalised education, built around the International Baccalaureate, so that all students can achieve their full potential, preparing them for access to leading universities worldwide. Our curriculum is designed to provide coherence, balance and breadth, generating an appetite for learning and discovery in our students.

Providing solid academics is not the only goal of our College. We encourage our students to develop a strong cultural and environmental awareness, a responsibility to the international community, as well as a capacity for teamwork, collaboration and leadership.

Respect is key on our education: respect to one self (body, mind and purpose), to the community we live in (positive impact leaders) and to the planet we inhabit.

Drawing from a shared vision with IE University, we recognise the importance of a lifetime view of education. The future working environment will be global, digital and enterprising, with technology creating new jobs that don´t exist yet. Students therefore need to be creative, resilient, entrepreneurial and open minded.

Schools, in turn, need to be forward-thinking and open not only to innovation and technology, but also to sustainability, diversity and the humanities.

At our College, we like to treat baccalaureate students as young adults. This means we foster confidence and responsibility for their own learning and self-organization, supported by tutors and academic guidance. Our aim is to support students to develop “growth mindsets”, to nurture their passion for learning, key for their future university, life and career success.

Multi-skilled leaders of tomorrow

In addition, The Global College offers a significant range of creative, action and service based co-curricular activities that help develop more rounded individuals. We believe our students flourish and become more emotionally balanced, as they broaden their interests, practice physical activity, develop creativity skills and proactively contribute to the community.

College culture matters too, and we are proud to be modern, co-educational, progressive and international. Atmosphere is familiar and student-staff relationships are based on mutual respect and high expectations.

Our campus in the heart of Madrid is open beyond class timetables, and provides unique themed labs and innovative spaces that support both independent and collaborative learning. We also offer an outstanding residence walking distance to campus for our international students.

Finally, we are committed to extending The Global College education to highly talented students despite their backgrounds. We therefore have a number of financial support options and grants that help us achieve the diversity in class we so highly value.

Welcome to The Global College!
