Our students received a talk from Ousman Umar, Founder of the NGO NASCO Feeding Minds, about the organisation and his own journey from Ghana to Spain.
In 2012, he founded the NGO with the purpose of reducing the digital divide by providing access to education as a catalyst to transform society.
Umar told his inspiring story behind founding this project, the journey through the Sahara desert, Libya and his arrival to Fuerteventura to begin a new life in Spain. An amazing man and an amazing story, it was a real pleasure to have a man of such resilience and energy speaking at the college.
TGC will develop social service projects with NASCO Feeding Minds both in Spain and Ghana.
