A group of talented students from The Global College has published Identity, a powerful e-book that dives into themes of belonging, individuality, and self-discovery. Maya, one of the students, came up with the idea after a thought-provoking IB History class discussion. Inspired, she invited her classmates to write chapters exploring their personal experiences with identity.

Contributors include Mariana, Isabella, Italo, Juan, Luisa, Sofia R., Tia, Stephanie, Stella, Aurora, Myr, and Sofia P. Each student shared their unique story, adding depth and variety to the book. Maya led the project from start to finish. She edited every chapter, ensuring the tone and flow remained strong throughout. One of her friends designed the book’s cover, adding a personal and creative touch to the final product.

They decided to publish Identity as an e-book on Amazon. Although Maya wanted to offer it for free, Amazon’s platform required a minimum price of €0.99. The team is now exploring options to donate the proceeds to a charity. They hope to confirm their chosen organisation soon.

The project grew from a series of deep conversations and creative writing sessions. Students used these to reflect on how they define themselves in today’s world. The result is a moving and honest collection that speaks to the challenges and triumphs of self-discovery.

By putting their voices on the page, the students started a conversation about identity, connection, and growth. Their work encourages others to think about their own journeys and sense of belonging.

Identity is available now on Amazon. Support this inspiring student initiative and discover how the next generation is shaping the conversation around who we are and how we relate to one another.
