Our Pre-IB Summer Program offers an exciting opportunity to develop essential skills, bond with future classmates and gain confidence for a great start in September.
We will be sending out an e-mail to all students in the Spring with further information and instructions on how to sign up. There are 50 spots available, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Whether you are coming from a school in Spain or abroad, you must follow specific documentation and procedures to ensure that your educational credentials are recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education.
Please review the requirements listed below carefully to facilitate a smooth transition. For any additional information or assistance, do not hesitate to contact secretariat@theglobalcollege.com.
If you are a boarding student or moving to Spain without your parents, there are important legal requirements you must meet to obtain legal status in Madrid for the duration of the program. These processes can be complex and time-consuming, so we recommend starting early.
⚠️Important update on Spanish Immigration Regulations affecting Non EU/EEA/Swiss boarders.⚠️
We would like to inform you that Spanish immigration regulations are changing, with new rules set to take effect on May 20th. We are currently reviewing the updates to determine the best legal course of action for families applying for student visas. We will soon contact you with further information and any necessary steps to ensure a smooth application process, however do not hesitate to reach out if you have any immediate concerns.
Regardless of nationality, it is important to start familiarizing yourself with the procedures. EU/EEA/Swiss students can begin reviewing the existing registration process to prepare for arrival, while non-EU/EEA/Swiss students should await further instructions from us, as the new regulations may impact their visa process.

We are excited to welcome you on Saturday August 30th, from 3 PM at the boarding house, and at 7 PM on campus for our Welcome & Orientation Sessions for students and families.
The Orientation program continues for students on Sunday and Monday.
If your family is staying in Madrid during Orientation program, you will still have some free time to spend with them. However, it is preferred that students sleep at the boarding house to settle well.
For students arriving on their own, the boarding team can make provisions for the student’s arrival and even organize pick-up at the airport.
We have agreements with two leading Spanish private healthcare providers offering medical insurance plans at better fees for members of our community.
Families are encouraged to contact the companies directly to discuss policy specifics, terms and conditions, contracting process and payment requirements. We also recommend comparing these plans with other Spanish providers before making a decision.
